We are Papair

We founded Papair in 2020 and set out on our journey: from the initial idea to the finished product.

Since 2023, we have been producing our PapairWrap - the bubble wrap made of paper, as well as all other PapairProducts, “Made in Germany” ourselves and supplying our customers in Germany and Europe.

Our team works every day on new products and on establishing our brand in the packaging industry. This brings us a little closer every day to our vision.

Our team is the foundation of our success. Each of us has our own motivation to contribute to greater sustainability through our work at Papair.

We can rely on each other and work together towards the same goal: to revolutionise the packaging industry with Papair and take a significant step towards a more sustainable environment without unnecessary plastic waste.

PapairProduction

At our production site in Rethem an der Aller (Lower Saxony), we manufacture for our customers in Germany and abroad. With our patent-pending technology, we produce PapairWrap and other sustainable packaging materials "made in Germany".

We are proud to have made the journey from a start-up to a globally recognised company.

We want to rid the world of unnecessary plastic waste.

Together, we have the vision of leaving the world a better place for future generations. With our paper bubble wrap and all other Papair products, we are making our contribution to this and want to be a role model for others. In the future, Papair will stand for environmentally friendly packaging material.

April 2024 – Harbour Investment GmbH as new strategic partner

Including a seven-figure sum, the Harbour Investment Group joins Papair as a strategic partner. This opens up new opportunities and represents an important step forward.

July 2023 – START OF PRODUCTION

The time has finally come: production starts and the first metres of PapairWrap roll off the production line. We have been waiting a long time for this and have been working towards it every day.

May 2023 – Amazon Accelerator

Out of 1500 applications, Papair is one of 16 start-ups selected for the Amazon Accelerator. For us, this is an absolute push for market entry.

December 2022 – Winner Durchstarterpreis

Papair wins the breakthrough prize in the "Scale up" category.

August 2022 – Gaining Leipa as a further partner

Papair gains the LEIPA Group as another strong partner with over 175 years of experience and expertise in the field of paper and recycling-based solutions.

February 2022 – Production site Rethem, Lower Saxony

Papair moves into its own production hall in Rethem (Aller) and starts preparations for its own production of PapairWrap, the bubble wrap made of paper.

November 2021 – Pre-Seed Financing

2018 – An idea germinates

When Fabian wants to apply for a start-up seminar at university, he is looking for an idea with impact that he can pursue. When his mum tells him about the challenge of replacing the classic plastic bubble wrap at work, he has an innovative idea: why not make bubble wrap out of paper?
